Boledu - Ethiopia

Boledu - Ethiopia

The first striking element in the cup is the soft and juicy fruit character reminiscent of ripe peaches. This structure, combined with the delicate and elegant texture of black tea, gives the coffee a smooth and clean finish. The aromatic intensity brought by the anaerobic process does not remain in the background; as the cup progresses, it reveals itself as a deep and sugary layer, much like peach nectar.

Kahvenin Öyküsü

This lot comes from the Yirgacheffe region, in the heart of Gedeo in southwestern Ethiopia. The region produces world-renowned quality coffees thanks to its high altitude of over 2000 meters, fertile soil, and balanced tropical climate. Coffees grown at this altitude fall into the SHG/SHB category; slow-maturing cherries create a more concentrated accumulation of nutrients in the bean and more complex, vibrant flavor profiles.

Production in Gedeo relies largely on small-scale farmers. More than 25,000 producers cultivate coffee on plots between 0.5 and 2 hectares. The region's climate is characterized by two rainy seasons; temperatures ranging from 20–23 °C throughout the year and well-drained loamy soils provide ideal conditions for quality coffee farming.

Boledu Coffee is a certified exporter operating its own processing stations in Ethiopia's leading coffee regions, including Yirgacheffe and Guji. Established in 2018, the company integrates the entire supply chain from small producers to export, offering full traceability and organic certification. Known for its commitment to sustainability and farmer education, Boledu Coffee has received many prestigious awards, including the 2021 Cup of Excellence and Golden Bean Australia.
